8 Kids and Counting

This weekend we had a get together with Dan's group of friends from high school.  There's six guys, Dan, John, Josh, Dan T, Chris, and Alex (who is currently in NC but coming back for good in July).  Then there's all the wives.  We don't get a chance to get together with everyone often but when we do, it's always a good time.  In just under six years we went from a childless group to having nine kids (with three of the wives pregnant - the ninth is Alex and Allison's and they weren't there).

I brought my camera along this time and look a ton of picture of all of the kids.  Take a peek -- 

Kate - John & Jess' second.

This slide was the hit of the party.  They got very inventive
and did a great job taking turns all day.

it didn't stop him from being right in
there with the rest of them.

Like I said, Colt would always try to
go down but wasn't always successful. 

This kid.  He got a hold of Chris' PBR, we immediately took
it away but get this.... he liked it! He kept asking for more.
Even signing it and saying please! So then he went
around looking for similar looking bottles.  Oh man, we're
in trouble.

The man went around the block numerous times giving is
kids a ride and he'd stare every single time.  

He'd get closer and closer.  Then said "hi" over and over
again.  He was thrilled that the man waved back.

I'm not sure how the men got this idea
but there they all are.  Up in a tree.
I know you're thinking alcohol was the
reason for this but nope -- all sober.

It really was a fun afternoon.  We assumed we'd be heading back home by three o'clock but we didn't end up leaving until five.  The weather was wonderful.  The kids were all getting along well.  And the company was even better.  I think we say this every time but we really shouldn't go nearly as long as we do in between visits.  Hoping for another one later this summer when Alex and Allison get back.
