Greta: one month

Well, here we are again.  Starting another round of monthly pictures until this little peanut turns one.  This time around I decided to do it a little differently than I did with Nora and Myles.  I'll still be taking pictures every month but instead of taking them in a 12 month outfit and next to Freddie the Frog, I'll be taking them of her sitting in the same chair month to month. I love the pictures of a child sitting in the chair on a nice trail with beautiful foliage all around but let's be honest... they obviously live in the south where temps don't go below 50.  So I'm doing our midwestern take on it -- inside her room.  Gotta work with what you've got!

8lbs 11oz (30%)
20.75 inches (40%)

After talking with the pediatrician about her puking issues he thinks it might be a minor reflux issue but more likely she's a "piggy".  If her belly can hold 4 ounces she'll eat 4.5 or 5. Then she'll be fussy and throw up the excess until she feels better.  She'll eventually outgrow it as her belly gets bigger.  Until then, anyone who holds her consider yourself warned.  Always wear a burp cloth on your shoulder and/or have spit up on your clothes.

A Walk in the Woods

It was a perfect fall day for a walk in the woods (or the the forest preserve near our house... close enough).

Looking at the elk.

balancing as he walks across the log

All snug along for the walk.

Collecting acorns.

One with a top!
I actually used these acorns for a
home-made decoration.
Nora and Myles each threw a few in the
backyard to feed the squirrels.

Hat slightly crooked -- Clifford style.

Thank you to my sister-in-law for the following pictures.  There aren't many times were I'm in front of the camera with my kiddos -- I'm trying to get more.  I LOVE these!
