Through My Picture Window

Ah, a new year.  There's something magical about a new year that brings a fresh feeling to everyone.  A clean slate.  A chance to start anew.  What makes it so different from any other day?  Not sure, but I'll jump on the bandwagon.

I was never one to make resolutions because, let's be honest, the majority of them end up broken anyway.  But after the success of last years "I Can Do That Challenge" (to cook something new every other week... which turned into every week and sometimes numerous new dishes) I was inspired to try something new again this year.

I've been hearing about people taking at least one photo every day of the year.  Doesn't seem too difficult but think of all the days you don't get out your camera and you realize it's more of a task than you once thought.  I've been doing it for a week now and I'm starting to think of it more throughout the day rather than an after thought at 8:30pm.

I'd like to take picture of "things" - not just my super cute, darling, amazing, children but if I'm taking pictures of them already, it counts too - but what I'm doing, something that's happening or something that's caught my eye.  My hope is that it helps me get better with my camera's setting and makes me a better amateur photographer.  We'll see how it goes!

Take a look "Through My Picture Window" to view my daily photos.

  1. Hi Katie!
I loved reading and looking at all your December projects.

My favorite was baking and taking cookies to the Firemen. How thoughtful and fun!

I bake with Reagan every time we are together.
Happy New Year! Karen and Dan Foran
