Season's First Snowfall

December 17th and we finally have our first traces of snow for the winter.  Not quite enough to cover all the blades of grass but it's snow nonetheless (not to mention it was all melted by the following day...)  But we took Nora's boots out of the closet (Pat got her these boots shortly after she was born -- can you believe they fit right during the winter months!?)

As per usual, Nora balked at putting on a new pair of shoes (she's an odd one) and once she got them on she walked very stiffly in them.  It got a little better the more time she spent outside but she still wasn't sure about the heavier, unbending boots upon her feet.  I'm thinking several inches of snow might be the cure.  It didn't stop her from helping Dad while Mom kept Myles company inside.

All bundled up.

Walking goofy and cautiously.
Rusty gets in on the action.  He
LOVES the snow.

Always the helper.

One happy pooch

I'm posting this just shy of two weeks after it happened and we haven't had any snow since.  What makes me wonder is that weather experts predicted this winter will be worse than last year as far as snowfall goes.  And if you remember, last year we had 23 inches of snow in a blizzard!  So to have less than 1 inch so far and it's the end of December?!  What are we in for??
